This Theo Kalomirakis designed theater, captures the feeling of ancient Egypt and the home owner. It’s cast-bronze proscenium doors, painted murals and hand carved columns with carved hieroglyphics, actually tell the story of the home owners many achievements throughout his life. Nothing was spared to make this the ultimate home theater experience.

All the speakers are disguised in the columns or by the expansive murals on the wall. The murals were hand painted onto canvas. The speakers had to be behind the canvas, as the client did not want to see any speakers anywhere. We perforate small sections of the canvas, by hand, to allow the sound to come through the canvas. We also had to install sound deadening material behind the canvas to further help control the sound in the room.

The project took quite a while, but the end result was well worth it. This theater has appeared in several publications and on TV. It has also won a few awards from the home electronics industry press.
